STORY BEHIND THE PAINTING
Isaiah 61:1 was painted by me, Nancy Cupp, during church services on Jan. 20, 2013, the day before an Iranian born pastor went on trial in Iran, for being a Christian. He had become an American citizen and lived in America, but he was visiting Iran at the time he got arrested. He was sentenced to eight years in Iran's prison. He was released on January 16, 2016 after negotiations with the United States and now resides in America.
