Description
11 X 14 inch flowers by Nancy Cupp, Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils, Strathmore Bristol Smooth 100 pound paper. I enjoy drawing while relaxing in front of the TV. I started drawing the big orange flower, just to pass time while watching TV one day. I kept adding on to it, until it turned into this imaginary scene. I am fascinated by color and decided to make the light source many various colors, since light contains all colors anyway. I did not have a preplanned idea when I started this. It just started with one flower and trying to make other flowers around it that seemed natural. The light source was not figured out until the end of the drawing, as I was trying to figure out what kind of background to use. It was just a fun pass time while watching TV. From a deeper level, I often don't see any spiritual meaning until I am done with a painting. With the dark background and the light source, which contains many colors, it makes me think of the flowers representing people who are facing their own destinies and eternity. The source of life for a plant is light. The source of life for mankind is Jesus. Jesus is the light of the world.
