My husband had given me a beautiful bouquet for our anniversary, so I stopped other projects I was working on to use the flowers for a painting lesson for one of my students. I used a live lily for the model. I wanted to keep the painting very simple, since my teenage student had very little experience in art. I painted along with him; painting on my canvas, while he painted on his. After my student no longer needed to look at my painting for a sample, I added feathers, little flowers, and butterflies for my own enjoyment.
